My friend has been accussed of wounding a man in a nightclub. He has been charged and is awaiting his date for Crown court. He has pleaded NOT GUILTY. He was threatened with a syringe, although he never seen it, he panicked and pushed the man, who fell over, then my friend swiped his legs. This is all my friend done, as I was there, however his lawyer and witnesses say he kicked and stamped on the man. The man suffered a broken arm, and denies he threatened to stab my pal with a syringe. My friend has 3 witnesses and the other guy has somehow got 4. Believe me this is a stitch up.... My friend has some previous for assault on two cases...
What could he be looking at getting? Thank you!!!

If he is an innocent as you suggest then he should be looking at acquittal.

New Judge, I am aware of that, however the lad who has broke his arm, is trying to get my pal locked up. This is rather serious, can my friend appeal if he is found guilty, considering he is not?

Regards
near as damn it exactly the same thing happened to my son. he was charged with sct 47 (ABH - not GBH). He had a previous sentence. There were no witnesses - just this lads word against my sons. He pleaded not guilty (because he wasn't). It went to crown court and found guilty (because they had to bring his previous up) and received 2 1/2 years. So i am sorry, but he is definately looking at a custodial sentence, if only because he as previous. My sons prosecution had NO witnesses and the police DIDN'T take the forensic evidence away (which would have proved it was not my son). It was just this lads word against my son. As soon as the jury heard he had previous for fighting, my son didn't stand a chance.

Luckyman, I have just taken some time to have a look at all the answers you post. You sound like a bored young man. Can I remind you that because your a loser (16abh) it does not mean my pal is also a loser. I suggest you get out of the house and say off the internet, as your given people on this site, ***** information. Maybe we could hook up for a cupa one day?
