My rescue disk for my Compaq Pentinum 3 pc got broke and I have rang up the company to buy a new one but I have given them every single ref no etc on the pc and they keep saying that is not the number they need. I have ran out of numbers to give them and the patience now to even ring them, is there somewhere else I can get a hold of a rescue disk. I have seen these ones advertised that can do any pc but someone I know has told me that it wont work on my pc Help!!!

As far as I know, Intel no longer produces a rescue disk for their Pentium 3's (or even produce Pentium 3's) anymore which means that the likelihood of Compaq or any other company having them is quite low. The best options I can give you at this point would either be to buy a new computer (I can help ya if you want) or to search for a reliable user on eBay or some such website that might have your disk. Otherwise, sorry mate.

Okay thanks for your comments, I wanted that one repaired as it had a floppy disk drive on it and my other pc's dont, thanks for the offer of helping to get a new pc, will have to see about getting a floppy disc drive. I only wanted it sorted as have some things on floppy disk that I wanted to transfer. Again thanks, I love this site, it is really helpful...
