The original Norton IS 2007 designed for Microsoft XP was not compatible with Vista, but a free upgrade is available on line... check with Norton (or Symantec)...

A word of caution: Do not install Norton unless you intend to keep it for the life of the computer. Even with Norton's own unistall tool, intalling anyother internet security program is almost impossible after Norton has been installed. Take it from me... personal experience...
Best of luck!

thank you Clanad, I'll check the website and I'll give it a try when I get the new pc,
and thanks for the advice, cheers!
The last thing you want on your PC is Norton Security.!! Try McAfee,AVG,Spybot or anything that's NOT Norton. Believe me!!
Vista and Norton - good combination: The world's worst operating system combined with the world's worst security product.
I would forget Norton, and download AVG Anti-virus and Zonealarm firewall for free. They dont need a renew of subscription in a years time and they dont cost 40 to renew, they're completely free, and more trusted than Norton.
I'd say go for them! and anyway, i had the 2007 version when i updated my laptop to vista, and i had to download a update to install it on vista, when it said it was 'vista capable'. No, id forget norton.
