Impossible to say. A hot, dry and dusty climate might aggravate the asthma. How do you get on when you go abroad for holidays?

mm ethel, theres a point, I have had asthma whilst being in Lazarote, but I think it was brought on by stress at that time. or contracting a bug on the flight as you can with all that re-cycled air e.t.c
I have asthma and I dread air conditioning - which is a nightmare in hotter climes.

My triggers are traffic pollution, cigarette smoke. dust.

On holiday abroad can be bad for me because so many people smoke - everywhere. And traffic pollution can be very bad too - what are using as fuel in those scooters and trikes?

If pollen affects you it could be very different in hotter countries - the pollen could be for more months.

I know the area around the salt lakes in Spain can be horrendous for me - and they are supposed to be the healthiest places to live.

And if you are high up that can also have an adverse effect on asthma - the air is thinner or something.

Another thing which I find problematic - most 'new builds' are aimed at the holiday maker, with tiles throughout and little windows designed to keep the place cool. Marvelous in the summer but in the winter they are cold chilly places You may think you won't notice the cold in the winter - but after a couple of summers you do. You really do.

Something to think long and hard about.
