Nope!
No I thought it was brilliant, perfect end to the programme. I think RG has the skill to know when exactly to end a programme's run - before it starts to go downhill
It was rubbish!! I cant stand that bloke, talk about over-rated!!!
I thought it was brilliant.

Very moving in parts ~ I confess to shedding a tear when he did the speech in the BB house and acknowledged the penguin question.

I also loved the George Michael segment on the 'poof bench'.
You 'avin' a laff?

I thought it was brilliant!!!
I shed a tear as well Pip.

I loved the bit when the photographer said that George Michael was doing The Catherine Tate Xmas special. OH THE IRONY!!! Lol
I enjoyed it. I like the celebs who don't mind taking the mick out of themselves, like George Michael.

I don't find Ricky Gervais at all funny as a stand up comedian, but do like The Office and Extras. I really like Ashley Jenson, think she's really good in it.

As chazza said, a good end to the programme.
I agree with gina32,He is as funny as a broken leg!!
don't care for RG,but love this and thought it excellent-still thinking about it the following morning which is a good tv programme for me.
I agree with you - I just can't see what everyone finds so funny! Its the same as The Office, that was a load of rubbish as well.
In my experience(and I'm gonna get slaughtered for this!) but there are a lot who can't see the irony and just how clever the comedy of Gervais is.
As I've said before on another thread, Gervais is the only man on the planet clever enough to get away with his Red Nose Day Comic Relief skit/sketch.

...and on that note, I'll get me coat!
I agree Phil. Its also the way he says things and his facial expressions that some people don't understand. Some people don't get irony within irony. If that makes any sense which it probably doesn't now looking back....................

I'll get my coat as well....
Ska - if you "cant stand that bloke" why watch the programme? A bit hipocritical to say the least. Personallly i thought it was very good, and a fantastic end, but each person has their own opinion
...Phil, I totally agree! I think some people just dont get him. I find his stand quite good, but his programmes are much better.
I too agree with Philtaz. It was, to me, the only thing worth watching over Christmas and I enjoyed every minute of it - and yes I shed a tear as well. Ricky Gervais is truly brilliant - and I also think Ashley Jensen is fantastic in her part.
Does anyone know what the ringtone was they used when the woman was buying a mobile phone in Carphone Warehouse and they were all dancing?
ricky gervais is crap.full stop...unfunny,ridiculous,and a pathetic excuse for a comedian..well so called comedian
he showed on the dianna concert unless he has a script he cannot improvise. The humour of embarassment is getting stupid, because everything has to be so political correct these days, gone are the good wise cracks, about irish being daft, scots being tight and english being tight.
But in cathrine tate some old woman swears and it is suppose to be hilarious.
I agree wholeheartedly with Philtaz. Lots of people don't get the irony of Ricky's character.

It's like people who say 'sarcasm is the lowest form of wit'. That's just coz they don't get it! I love sarcasm.
