Hi can anyone out there help i have yahoo as my home page every there is a update on internet explorer it allways takes over my home page is there any way you can make yahoo your homepage for good regards jeff

Internet Explorer will always go to the 'update notification' page if it identifies that an update is available. The only way to stop it doing so is to switch off the automatic check for updates:

Go to Tools > Internet Options
Select the 'Advanced' tab.
Click to remove the check mark alongside 'Automatically check for Internet Explorer updates'
Click 'Apply', then 'OK'.

Far better, switch to a decent web browser. The vast majority of the 'regulars' here on AB's technology section gave up on Internet Explorer ages ago. We nearly all use Firefox:
