i know its been asked many times before, but no one seems to come up with an exact answer - what was the price of slade's merry christmas everbody single when purchased in 1973

i dont know who set this question but wouldnt it depend on where you bought it? I remember woolies being cheaper for singles than wh smith when i was little

I bought 'Wuthering Heights' in 1978 for about 50 pence, if that helps a little?

Yes, definitely 48p and 56p depending on where you bought it!

I would say 35p
It was definitely close to 50p and I'd plump for 48p as the going rate was around 55p by late 1974 but you'll have so many varying responses (including some doing same quiz who'll want to put you off the scent) that you need to do some real research-eg find copy of old newspaper/magazine article on internet or ask the BPI.
