Nice story about a reverend who drives a bus as his main job. His New Year message - 'What I see on my No 18 bus tells me Britain is still a decent country' He talks to his passengers as he's driving round, telling them bits of history and local information, says it breaks the ice and basically creates harmony. I thought it was a nice little story. xxx

Morning skep. Yes read that but also just read - aloud - a Christmas message from Muslims around the world. It's in the Times today. Two quotes...

'We Muslims bear witness that; There is no god but God, without associate, and that Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger, and that Jesus is His Servant, His Messenger, His Word cast to Mary, and a Spirit to Him ......'

'May the coming year be one in which the sanctity and dignity of human life is upheld by all. May it be a year of humble repentance before God, and mutual forgiveness within and between communities.'

From many religious leaders and scholars etc around the world, we know most think this way but, although I'm not particularly religious, it is warming and encouraging to see it in print.
