I can sit back now and enjoy all the festivities and not worry about getting up at 6am to be in work by 7.30!!! I can watch all those brilliant films they are putting on in the daytime and have a drink when I want too!!!!!!!!

Oh hang on, that's my parallel universe other me that works for the local council!!! darn it, well at least i have Christmas Day off, I will be able to cook that meal for 8 after all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Christmas to you, too, Dot!! I'm now off till the 2nd Jan, having got home at 4pm & spent about 2 hrs on the computer, doing all my year-end admin. I wish I could put my feet up & relax, but still have the livestock to do, so no long lie-ins (bad English!) for me. Christmas day will still see me up at 6, out to feed the sheep & chickens, then off down the pub at lunchtime & home for dinner with my son. I bought a turkey crown, as there's only the 2 of us now, but he won a 10lb turkey in a pool match at the local, last week, so we're now having that! (He's so proud he won it - beat the team captain!!) K xx

I am off work for the weekend, then start work on Christmas Day. Wonderful.
Hopefully, dinner will be ready when I get home from work.

Hi dot. Well I have had a brilliant day today. I have only been in this job for 5 weeks and it is only part time. Well today the owner of the shop gave me a bottle of wine, an extra days pay, a �10 gift voucher for Boots and a surprise birthday present for 4th Jan not to be opened till then. I was gob smacked I didn't expect anything with being a newby, and I am off now until the 8th Jan....what a good do.
