Pongo was owned by Mr and Mrs Dearly in 101 Dalmations by Dodie Smith.
Timothy was owned by George in The Famous Five by Enid Blyton ..familiarly known as Timmy .

Taliesin, do you mean Bob Carolgees? His dog was called "Spit" though, because it used to spit! lol. He appeared in "Tiswas" as Houdielbow. He also had a cat called "Cough The Cat", which had a very irritating [and amusing] dry cough.
