80's Film title

Does anyone know a name of an 80's (i think) sci-fi/adventure film where Tears For Fears - Everybody wants to rule the world is featured. Have tried IMDB but to no avail. Can't remember the actors or the plot, just remember the song played as the credits were rolling.

Hi, this is probably no help at all but i do remember an 80's film with 'everybody rules the world' playing as the credits roll. Its called 'real genius'.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089886/ .

Cheers Roxyanne, I think that Real Genius may be it. It sounds familiar with the laser in the plot.

Yeah it was Real Genius, starred Val Kilmer and Joan Cusack, wasn't there a guy who lived in the wardrobe?

yes emmalee! its all coming back to me now. at the end they put loads of corn in a house and the laser turns it into popcorn and the house explodes or something like that...
