Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

No clairey-s, the joke is on you. The answer IS 44, but in base 11 arithmetic - you didn't say I had to use base 10.

No, Gen2, calm down.....Clairey-s was not making a point at you! look at the times of the postings and remember it usually takes a minute to type a response and there's then often a minute's delay before they appear. She was saying she should have thought about the answer for 5 minutes before she posted her question.

Base 10 arithmetic this time:

16 triangles made up of 1 small triangle
16 triangles made up of 2 small triangles
8 triangles made up of 4 small triangles
4 triangles made up of 8 small triangles

Total = 48

Scrub that and totaly ignore my ramblings - I think i'm going down with the flu or something. Whatever it is I'm not thinking clearly tonight. think I'll log off and get an early night.

gen2 is quite right that there are 44 triangles and the explanation for it is spot on; but has simply made an error in the totting up - hardly surprising if not feeling great.
