Being a crazy impulsive dude, and being one not to miss a bargain, I bought some lovely faux suede material from EBay for a snip. My initial thoughts were that it could be transformed into a lovely pair of curtains for my newly decorated bedroom. However, and here's the stumbling block, I don't know how to make curtains! Nor do I know anyone who does! I turn to you, ABers, do you know anyone who makes curtains preferably in the Manchester area? Perhaps your gran makes them as a hobby...

Gravitate, your mate was stung. I saw a whole set of bongos on EBay for a mere 30. Admittedly, they didn't have a sink attachment but they did come in a rather attractive rattan basket. JD; I'll take a peek...

sorry, don't know how to post clickable links but here's an answer i gave in march! I realise you want someone to make them but it it easy!

I bought some faux suede off ebay too and the curtains have turned out lovely! still got the pins in the bottom where i haven't got round to hemming.

Please note that if you use iron-on bonding like i say in that link, test it on the fabric first as damp cloth+iron may ruin it.

Mormess, I might just give it a go! I want to line the curtains and make a ringlet top (with the rings as part of the curtain). How do you attach ringlets? Thanks!

DIZDABIZ, my wardrobe contains nothing but 1970s pimp style threads. It's the 1970s pimp style pad I'm trying to create with the leopard skin print faux suede curtains!!!

WIth rings - you put curtain hooks into the gathering tape and the rings that go on poles have another small ring at the bottom which the curtain hooks hook on to.

Hope that makes sense! Or you can get eyelet kits which you hammer onto the curtains - hem the top and put the eyelets in. You can get quite big eyelets that would fit a hole through.
