Just the one to go now. This doesn't seem to be a popular one for asking for help so I assume I am missing something obvious.

Hi darrensma ... I have Stonehenge, but now can't fully justify how I arrived at that answer ... henge is an ancient circle of stones, and stone is heavy, but I can't remember where bird fitted in !!
I have got eaglestone ...going on the thought that a half eagle is a round from the past ..an old coin and heavy ..stone ..but I am not convinced !
I also toyed with things like an eagle in golf and a "round " in golf .....it's doing my brain in !
Ah .. perhaps you're right shaney with Eaglestone, with the stone being half of Stonehenge !!
I've got eagle stone too
just cant have been looking there have been several threads
Have you got 27 or 26 then
Still not happy with answers suggested earlier for 26, but for 27 it is probably Co + al .. Coal, as given by shaney last evening, with Co being chemical symbol for Cobalt (periodic no. 27) plus Al (Aluminium 13).
I like that must have missed it

Sorry guys, must have missed the other threads. Think eaglestone is probably correct but will mull it over. And yes, I have finished. 27 is definitelY coal as ruby turned up in no. 10. As for no. 26, the answer is breccia. One hundred and one in roman numerals is CI and then take the word BRACE (for two) and 'break it up' all around.
Brilliant darrensma ! Well done ..I have had so many different answers for 26 .
I think gen2 should get an award for compiling this quiz ....
Yes it is a great quiz and thanks for the answer to 26
