My pomeranian gets very tempremental at times and dosen't mind biting anyone who tries to do something he dosen't like.  All of the rest of the time he is very sweet and loving.  He just recently started acting like this.  What can i do to correct his uncalled for behavior?

I also have a pom and he sounds alot like your dog. If my Sammy is under the bed, do not reach under there to get him because like you said, he will bite. But the rest of the time, he's real cool.I think the Pom has issues about their size, like they have to prove something.

It sounds as if your pomeranian is getting a little too big for his boots! Dogs are opportunists and will soon take over the top dog position in the pack if they can (and you are part of his pack!). Your Pomeranian has obviously noticed that if he shows his displeasure when you do something he would rather you didn't...you don't do it! The only way to stop this is to make it clear that you are the boss....a hard thing to do I know! Make sure that you always go through doorways before he does, eat before he does, don't allow him up on your lap, furniture etc., and make sure that he 'earns' every bit of fuss, treat or playtime with you. He has to earn it by doing something for you...like perhaps sitting nicely. Eventually he should learn that you are the boss, and go back to being his sweet natured self all the time - you will be able to let him on your lap/furniture again, but make sure that when you ask him to get down he does...any trouble and it's back to no priveliges for a while!

I hope this helps...I do know how hard it is, but it's worked with my wee dog and we have a great relationship now that she knows her place!
