I have a freeview box in the bedroom but the aerial cable connecting the box to the TV isn't very long and I have to stand the TV on the box! Can I get a longer one and, if I can, what do I ask for please?

You should be able to find something like this in Argos, B&Q, Comet , Currys etc.

You need an aerial extension lead.

Make sure you get one with the correct "ends". You can buy female to female leads, or male to male leads.

You probably need a female to male.

Thanks vhg. I wasn't sure if I could just use an extension lead. I thought it may be something specially designed for the purpose! (is a woman after all!)
Vhelpful guy is right. The lead is also known as a co-ax lead. I would suggest you take the lead that you've got with you to the shop and explain that you need a longer version of the same lead. It shouldn't cost more than a couple of pounds for the lead. You can even buy them from pound shops, such as poundland.
Freeview being digital format, requires much higher signal levels than analogue TV sets, therefore you should really fit high quality low loss RF feeder if you want to avoid signal drop out, standard air spaced coax as sold by B&Q has a higher attenuation loss and may give poor results.
