I had a hip replacement 3 weeks ago. I have very strong hair growth on my legs and usually shaved every few days. but now I can't bend or twist and hate the thought that I can't do anything about it for weeks. Has anyone any helpful advice? (I am female!)

none apart from grin and bear it!
Seriously, it is not worth the agony of risking a dislocation while the ligaments are still healing. When i had mine done i remmeber i hated not being able to cut my toenails for so long. Its the kind of thing you dont think about previously. The only thing i can suggest is to have them professionally waxed, but the porblem will be their couch and geting on it i guess.
my husband shaved mine for me when i had my first hip done. but with the second i couldn't be bothered with the faffing around so didn't bother at all and wore trousers all the time. i think your best bet would be to get them waxed as bednobs has said, if you can get up on to the couch. or do you have a good friend who would come and shave them for you?
Maybe a mobile therapist could come to you and wax them.
She should bring protective towels for the bed if you explain your situation.
btw....once you've waxed you won't go back to razors. :) xxx
