Two questions ; Are they related? Are they neutered?
If related, they would normally get on OK and if both are neutered, again it should be fine. Maybe one is dominating the other, though, and that's why he won't come home. Cats are very headstrong and fussy little creatures, so really anything can happen (as the other cat people on here will probably agree!!). Sorry I can't give any better advice, but just keep trying to tempt him back! good luck.

They are brothers and not neuted. They are too young to be neuted.
If you have had them for 10 months then they are not too young to be neutered. Most vets do it when the cat/kitten is about 6 months old.
Ditto - they can be "done" at 6 mths. If I were you, I'd get them both to the vet's soonest - if they're not neutered, of course you'll have a problem. Male entire toms will fight for territory & this sounds like what you've got here. One is the dominant one & is sending his brother away. Who told you they were too young to be neutered at 10 months, for heavens' sake??

thank you for your answers im off to the vets
Just agreeing with the previous posters - maybe whoeveradvised you about toms being neutured got confused because sometime girls have to wait until 10months ish to get spayed (my girl is too small at 7months but vet says she should be ok next month). Boys are ok to be done much earlier.
