What happened to my paragraphs?

When I previewed my answer it had all my pretty paragraphs. Then after submit!-ting it posted like this??? dammit!

If you're using an Apple Mac the system might be having problems with the way Mac's do line breaks which is different to Windows & Unix.

Thanks, but I'm using a PC with "Windows". My guess is that is was some kind of temporary anomaly with this site. The same thing happened to me once before (and possibly to other posters around that time) and also when I posted this question there were blank lines between each sentence created with the "Enter" key. It made me look even ruder than I am!
