I work and live in Greece, and as you can imagine, the wages are extremely lower than back home in the UK. I graduated in 2005 and I have been told tby a friend that you have to earn over a certain amount before you are required to pay back your student loan. Can somebody confirm whether or not this is true. And if it is, what is the threshold for repayment?

Thanks for your help!

Hi - my son graduated this year and has been told he has to earn over 15000 a year to qualify for repayments. How long have you been working abroad as I'm sure I read on the loan bank website if you are away for more than 2 years that excempts you from repayment. Get on the internet & check on that though as I may be wrong.
