security pop ups when switching on pc

Though we had sorted out our virus problem on pc. But switching it on today, we had the same thing. Security pop ups, I.E. pop ups from Security Centre. And Virus warnings.

Can anyone give me advice on what to do. Have posted on tech support, but no replies yet.

it seems to be spyware/adware to me. i mean they try to sell you something, visit some websites and that's what adware do. if that was a virus it would erase things, ok enough lecture :) the thing is, if that's not a virus, you need an anti spyware to fight it. anti virus won't help in this situation. if you don't have anti spyware, here are some free anti spyware tools. just pick one and run a scan. they are all legitimate and reputable.
