What do you do with them? I never forward them on, this is not to insult the friends who send to me bu trather that I dont see the point, especially if they predict doom and gloom. Sometimes they do contain nice sentiments which I may copy and paste without the added 'if you dont send this on to five friends your knicker elastic will break', but other than that I dont forward them.

I must admit this to my great, great shame. I went for my scan at 18 weeks and the lady that went before me (I only saw her from behind)was a terrible shape, leggings falling down, baggy bum, knickers hoisted up above waistline of leggings and I thought 'look at the hack of that', well what goes around really does come around, I am now that person, serves me jolly well right for being mean.

Thats the thing Pippa, some peolpe take them so seriously. The one I got today was cute but the girl that sent it to me sends other ones too, very serious ones, sign this petition, very old ones etc. What I cant understand is that she is highly intelligent, has a top notch job and does not suffer fools but yet not only does she suffer these she makes me suffer them too.
It's like Grumpy Old Women's cllub in here today!

I like it :-)
There is only one purpose to the chain mails - so the original sender (certainly not the friend who sent it to you) can harvest emails for spam.

People do not tend to use the 'blind copy' facility so everyone can see your email addresses. The originator gets a copy too.

They are dreadful things, often full of viruses, and I don't even open them.
I used to forward them on, especially the ones promising good luck, love, gods blessings etc. But now I am totally sick of them.

I forward on jokes that I get, if I think them funny but on the whole it is a bit time wasting.
natalie, Im on the south east coast of england, not far from you really. They always blame the salty air on the lack of snow :(
