Yakult Bacteria

In the second Yakult 'Bacteria' advert are the guy and the girl on a date, or do they meet in the cafe by accident?

We're having a bit of a debate on it at work and it would help to hear what others think...

i think they meet by accident in the cafe she kinda looks surprised to see him at the beginning of the ad

I agree, I think it's an accident. I think they're trying to create a romance like in the Gold Blend ads.

i think they met before as i am sure she says "i took your advice"

Erm... they met before in the first advert (I thought you were a top copper, Regan ;-) ).

 

I think it's accidental. I also think that it's extremely unlikely that in real life she would ever be more than friends with the guy - if that's where the adverts are going. (Unless he was rich and/or famous, of course).

Like you say LeMarchand, there is no way she would go out with him in real life. For some reason i can't stand the bacteria guy and the girls on the next table are totally justified in laughing at him!

They met (in the first ad) at a dinner party. He told her about 'good' bacteria. She was very impressed!
