I am told Wembley Stadium is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I am going to Wembley to see a gig and would like to go out on the razz in London afterwards, and stay the night in a travel lodge. I am told i would have to get the tube from Wembley into London. If this is the case, how long will this take and how late do they run? any suggestions?

i done this for the first time a couple of weeks ago it was sooo easy! the metropolitan line stops at wembley park which is right at the stadium and arena you cant go wrong. we went from bond st station, changed at baker street, and i think it took 40 - 50 mins from our hotel in oxford st?? not def sure as we didnt time it. they are still running after the time a concert would end and we had no problem reversing the journey.

Thanks busy bee! you are a gem, do you have any idea whatsover when the tube is open till? just roughly? so i know whether its worth, planning a night out after the gig which i am guessing may finish at about 10 ish?
I think the tubes stop at about midnight :-)

I would hardly call Wembley, an outer suburb of London surrounded by thousands and thousands of houses "in the middle of nowhere".

It is not in the middle of London admittedly, but it is also not in the middle of the Sahara desert either.

Here is an underground map of London, and you can see Wembley Park station in the upper left hand section.

You can see the line runs south easterly down to Baker St. From there you can easily get to any part of central London.

One option is to stay more into central London and travel OUT to the concert.

Thanks all!

Very helpful guy - that was what i was thinking! i am not soo blonde to literally mean middle of nowhere like its in the outback or something, i simply meant for amenities! it looks like its on the motorway on certain maps (like the travel lodge in wembley) i have seen. i just didnt want to suggest a night out after the gig and be stranded somewhere that had no way out and no bars/pubs/clubs/kebab shops and somewhere to sleep it all off!

any suggestions where we could stay/go out?

(no where too posh!) went out in Leicester Square once and that was good.

the last train from Wembley Park to central London is at 00h21.
