don't be conned by expensive kitchen / bathroom paint, all they are is egg shell finish paint, a strong durable finish thats been around for years. this paint is really tough, can stand moisture and steam and made by all good paint companies. it is available in a limited number of colours and is more expensive than normal gloss / emulsion paints ( the important thing is it works and is the correct paint for bathrooms and does resist mould growth etc ).if you buy a branded kitchen / bathroom paint you will still be getting eggshell finish paint but at an inflated price ( similar to branded and unbranded paracetamol tablets ).

bathroom/kitchen paints contain anti-fungicidial agents to prevent mould growth in high humidity areas.
