Went for a Chinese on Thursday night, then on Friday had a bacon roll and some chips at dinner time. Friday teatime I felt really queasy and have spent all evening/night in the bathroom with sickenss and the 'd' word and still feel pretty rough today. Even though I thought I had brought everything up I possible could, the last thing that came back was the rice from the Chinese, obviously not digested. My question is, how long does food stay in your stomach for before being processed, and at what point does your body 'process' the calories etc. Enjoy your lunch.

Hi lankeela - hope you're feeling a bit better now. I can't give you an answer really but I too was sick in the early hours of this morning (very unusual for me) and I hadn't eaten since midday. It seems that if there is a problem with the stomach the usual digestive process shuts down. No doubt there is someone on here who knows the science but I feel as if I've been kicked in the stomach today.
Oh lankeela,
Sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather, to say the least.
This bug is doing it's rounds.
I had it last week as did some of my colleagues.
Think the way you have been the past few days, there is little chance of your body processing the calories. lol
Take care, Hope you feel well soon.
Hope you're feeling better now, kid!! K xx

Thanks all, now back to normal, although feeling a bit drained. Will have to weigh myself to see if all the suffering
has a good side to it!
