I am ready for a change. I have been a secondary school teacher for nearly 20 years and am now wondering about leaving teaching. I know I have lots of skills which must be useful in other careers, but don't know how to start looking for possibilties. Is there anyone who can recommend a company or agency that I could consult in order to get some ideas?

A nurse (just need to know hospital instruments)
An aerobics instructor (you can 'teach' there)
A receptionist

See the local Career advisor at your secondary school before you quit. good luck
I found the Learn Direct 'Assess your Skills' quiz very useful. It tells you what jobs you're qualified to do, which jobs suit your personality and how to get into each career.
