The earth's total amount of water has a volume of about 344 million cubic miles........................ so anyone care to work that out??!!!!

There are, apparently, around 1,358,827,280,837,056,256,168 litres of water in the world.

Did you know that Canada has over 22% of the world's suply of standing fresh water?

I could be wrong, but in UK terms, I make that one thousand three hundred and fifty eight million, eight hundred and twenty seven thousand, two hundred and eighty billion, eight hundred and thirty seven thousand and fifty six million, two hundred and fifty six thousand, one hundred and sixty eight. Am I close?

And the 344 million cubic miles approximation is about the same (5.5% larger) and converts to 1.43 billion trillion litres.

I seem to remember that Lake Baikal in Siberia contains 20% of the world's fresh water - interesting fact thats all!

IndieSinger - I think you mean "one thousand three hundred and fifty eight trillion, eight hundred and twenty seven thousand, two hundred and eighty billion, eight hundred and thirty seven thousand and fifty six million, two hundred and fifty six thousand, one hundred and sixty eight", not "one thousand three hundred and fifty eight million, eight hundred and twenty seven thousand, two hundred and eighty billion, eight hundred and thirty seven thousand and fifty six million, two hundred and fifty six thousand, one hundred and sixty eight".

Anyway, why do you always write in PURPLE?

there is precisely 1 358,827,280,837,056,256,168 litres of water in the world.
