kia sedona 2.9 se (2001) engine revs dropped away so no power; had to be towed home. car shuddered twice & revs dropped off before finally dying. recovery man suggested a fuel problem.

It could well be a fuel issue.
First step would be to get the car scanned for any codes & report back.

Everybody who has a modern car should own a diagnostic scanner to aid in fault finding and save being charged a fortune by the main 'stealerships' .

thanks for reply. had the diagnostics test done: no codes shown. looks like a fuel issue, hopefully a one-off!
