I have managed to find and type in my net work key for my netgear modem, but when i try to connect to my home wireless network i get the message "aquiring network address" and after trying for awhile it just folds. what is my next move to get this I P address it is lookomg for? thanks for help.

Is DHCP enabled for both your router and your computer?
Plug the PC or Laptop whichever it is into the router with an ethernet cable and see if that works and go from there.

I've had this problem on some routers when wireless security is used either WEP or WPA, if it is enabled, try turning it off.

Thanks to fo3nix and mattie, I am up and running and my lap top but am having a problem with my P C, but more about that later. Again thanks for your advice. Cyrilbiker
