Hi,

I was wondering what your thoughts are on this scenario:

I sell office equipment and have a target of 12000 profit per month before I earn 30% commission.

On the 5th July I completed a deal which was worth 12,600 profit which should entitle me to commission of around 3600.

However, on the 14th July, the sales team were advised that our targets were now being set quarterly and in order for me to receive 30% commission I will need to achieve 36000 profit over the quarter July/Aug/Sept.

In my contract it does state that commissions can be altered from time to time but surely they cannot alter it after a deal has already been completed and back date it???

Please help!

Commissions are usually paid when the customer pays, NOT when the order is placed!
