My daughters now ex boyfriend,( taking umbridge at her deciding to ditch him cos he expects her to cook clean and iron for him, ) has been to her house tonight whilst she was on the way home from work and punched in 6 pains of glass in her front door.
bobtheturkey would have been so proud of me, her ex cut himself and I preserved the dna evidence and secured the scene just like Grisham would have done and the CSI came out and bagged and tagged it, it was quite interesting, I asked them if they would be reconstructing the glass pains on a table at the lab to search for more evidence, they looked at me with some impatience, so, what has happened in your world tonight??

now look here wardy, this is a local matter, with local people, we donlt take kindly to southern softies you know....well, the officer of the lawer was delighted when her neighbout wasd able to place the perp in the street minutes before the alleged incident and of course i had to politely ring him to ask if he was going to come nd tidy up the mes and i put him on speaker as the cooper was sitting there 9in the lather recliner) and he said he was sorry and would clean it up tomoorrow and make it good lol indmissaBLE in a court oif law but he's been done up like a kipper !!!!
OK, Wardy, point taken (which is why I don't do crime anymore - far too many complications for very little money!). But given that this is likely to be mags court, I really doubt that the CPS will come up with the forensics - unless there is any other evidence to support charging the ex or unless he admits it in IUC - since it is just not worth their while. Upsetting as it may be for Dot's daughter, I suspect that CPS may just bin it. We could, however, be pleasantly surprised and he may just cough.
I found a reference to R v Betteridge

In R v BETTERIDGE [2006] Crim LR 563 a man aged 51 pleaded guilty to rape of a 14-year-old girl, a friend of his daughter, who often stayed overnight at his home.

Different guy or is Ward-Minter wrong?
Another one with his brains in his fists. She's well rid of him.
TCL, I didn'trealise you were such a legal eagle. I don't have access to law books at presents try Court of Appeal 2004 or CPS official guidlines for DNA proceedure.

If no luck, I may have the wrong name.

neti it was a shocl to us all that he turned so violent as he seemed a decent hard working blokem he has his own sucessful business and isn;t a loser or anything, it was apparently a very strong emotional thing that he gtot out of control, he has since apologised profusely and been very honest with the police, despite me and daughters mates saying she should not take him back, i think my daughter had forgiven him his stupidity and she says he is devastated that he looked such a bully and moron. I am worried now, she is probably wrong, but she is a grown up, he has sorted the doot out and a new one is being fitted today. we can't live their lives for them but the CSI woman that came yesterday morning did tell my daughter she had seen incidents like this escalate into domestic violence, daughter had not agreed to talk to him at that point and did agree with the CSI. I am hoping it was a one off. we will see.

Chatterbonk, thanks for that but i don;t think legend was a member of this site when my addy was posted, and even if he was, why would he want to do that to a stranger? i had been offline for 3 months at the start of this year and was not around when he joined. Thanks for trying to clarify though, i did get your drift.
I get the picture dot. but hopes she steers clear of him, once something like that starts where does it all end. How worrying for you.
