I am a new member and cannot find a way to put line returns in my posting & my entries (eg. 100 P to a P, 7 D in a W) come out on the same line. Others seem to manage new lines. Am I doing something wrong?

Press the Enter (Return) key when you want to start a new line.
When you're writing a message, it looks like one "enter" is enough for a new paragraph, but it's not.  Try pushing "enter" twice.
One other thought cazzle - if you're not using Explorer you may not be able to do the fancy text stuff, including paragraphs.  I was using Mozilla as my browser and switched to Explorer so I could do the formatting.

It doesn't work on mine at all. I can do all the fancy stuff, but no matter how many times I press Return, it never puts in a gap. I will now press Return three times.

And I doubt very much that there is much of a gap here.

Someone tell me why!

I've pressed Return once.

Now twice.

Three times.

Four

Five.

Six.

And this is the result

I'm not sure where the &bk sp; came from.

I think it might have something to do with the version of Internet Explorer. I'm stuck with v5.5 at work & can't format a thing (now that we can't code with HTML). At home I use IE v6 & it all works fine.

I think I've worked it out now - I need to press Return no less than three times in order for it to do...

... this.

Or

twice

like

this!

I meant

return twice

to get this!

When I press Return twice [*hits Return twice*]

This happens. So I have to press it three times [*hits Return thrice*]

... for it to do this. Fascinating, n'est pas?

Well looky here! Looks like I only need to hit it twice, now! Cheers, smudge!
Happy to oblige Indy - sweet dreams!
Oops Indie not Indy - it's me age!
I'll let you off, smidge.
