Where did your waters break? And did you get any freebies?

I opted for pethedine and gas and air with my first 37hr labour, I had to have an epidural with my twins 10 hours, both anesthetics made me really sick so with my 4th and 5th i had nothing. I had to have my waters broken with the first 3 and they broke themselves with the last 2. My last one was surreal! I was sitting talking to my mum at my dining room table, then i felt i had to lie down so i lay on the floor then there was a gush, then a push and there he was! Easy! 20 mins after i lay on the floor he was there. I went into labour with my twins in a shopping centre. I got no freebies at all. Boots baby department wouldn't even ring me a taxi!x
I managed to get two perfect children without any of the above. I just collected the pair of them, in a big box from their previous mummy.

It is amazing how heavy two 18 month old cats are. Such a struggle.

Ladies - I may have all the relevant 'breeding bits' but I have no maternal instinct and NO desire to go through all the horrible stuff mentioned in this post. Then you have to take them home. Nope - my cats will do me!

:-)
Well thats your choice! I personally prefer children to animals. You'll never know the joy of being handed your own child who you've had a hand in making. I feel sad for you. :-(
Unfortunately I can't have kids. But I would make a lousy mother anyway. I am happy with my cats.

My brother and his wife have two adorable children and I love them to bits.

mine went following a bit of prodding and poking by a midwife with a crochet hook! :)

Glad they didnt go anywhere else, there were buckets full lol

As for those who had gas and air, pethadine, epidurals good for you ladies, if it helps it helps eh!

I had nothing, not because i was brave or not in pain, but because i am needle phobic and id rather have the pain of contractions than a tiny needle. pmsl, hows that for logic!

Thank god it was a 6 hour labour.
