Im planning on doing a roast beef dinner tomorrow, any advice on how to cook the meat would be really appreciated. We are having it with mashed spuds, cabbage, carrots yorkshires and roast beef gravy. Cant wait ! x

cook it gas mark 4, and slowly to start with as it keeps in the juices. i always check it about 15 mins b4 the end and then u can give it a blast!! depends on whether u like it raw or welll done.

oooh I forgot to put the roasties in my menu above- 2 types of potato is the way of the roast in this house ! :)

Depends on how you like your roast but I would cook it about gas mark 4 or 5, electric just under 200 degrees. Think I would have it on for most of the day, considering the weight.
I am sure it will taste brilliant.
Remember to use the juices for your gravy.

thanks guys Im soo excited ! Depending on what time I shove it in tea will be on late afternoon- should be plenty to go round !!! Thanks for the help xx
remember to let the joint rest for about 20 minutes before you slice it........really makes a difference!
