last night on waterloo road bbc1 , there was a song playing about half way through the program, the female singer sounded almost like tori amos and it could almost have been one of her song's, the only lyric i could pic up on was "i need a friend ,or it could have been be my friend, that seemed to be the chorus, its was playing all through the bit where jack asked denise to marry him and then continued to the lad finding his girlfreind in bed with her sisters boyfriend, can any1 tell me the name of the song and artist a big thank you to anyone who can.

That's my best guess with those lyrics I'm afraid.
