Thanks Sarumite! I was thrown out by having Bagdhad instead of Jackdaw for 19d !

How about the others?
I haven't looked at the puzzle yet ... have you any letters?
Question Author
No, Sarumite, none at all! Will check back on the site later to see what you've come up with. Meanwhile, will struggle on with the Herculis! It's really hard today.
8a (Zoo Loos) .... Zulus
I've finished Herculis if you need a hand barbrajay, but will be off to watch Countdown shortly!
Question Author
Thanks Sarumite! I've almost finished Herculis. Stuck on
6d large merchant sailing ship with iron or steel hull (10)
is it "windyammer" ?

Therefore making 10a: Market town in Surry appearing in Domesday Book (7) Reigate?

Enjoy Countdown. I love Eggheads myself! Off to see "Wicked" tonight, so will check site very much later!

Thanks again. Barbrajay
Hi barbrajay ... 6d is Windjammer and 10a is Reigate as you already have.

Yes I also watch Eggheads .. but am sometimes a little disappointed about the quality of the opposition, and also am I right in thinking that the Eggheads usually get the easier questions?? Although on the face of it everything is above board!!
Back to the cryptic ....

11a Kitchener (as in Chef !) .... answer is RECIPE.

I hope you enjoyed "Wicked" (S)
Question Author

Thanks again. Yes, really enjoyed Wicked - brilliant singing and staging.

I agree about the Egghead questions being easier; I've always thought that too.

Talk tomorrow no doubt! Sorry - today, just seen the time!
