Making bread without oven - can it be done?

I think I saw someone making pitta style bread on TV and the chef used a dry frying pan to cook the bread, it looked good! Well I've always used an oven to make bread but I don't have one right now. Does anyone know of any recipes for any kinds of bread that don't need a conventional oven? I have access to a grill, toaster oven(this cooks like an oven but only for 10 minutes..) and microwave and gas stove. Thanks in advance.
