hi,
it can depend on your method of feeding. If you are breastfeeding it can take months to return whichis why some women in the past used to think breastfeeding a contraception of sorts.

I cant quite recall when mine return but i think it was about 5-6 weeks after my lochia bleed ended.

Make sure you are covered by a contraceptive if youre having intercourse though as its suggested that after a baby is a very fertile time! and i do know of a mum who fell pregnant within months ofgiving birth.

if you are concerned it may be late for a reason then take a pregnancy test

im bottle feeding so not because of breastfeeding im late
As the mother of two boys 13 months apart, I agree with redcrx. I was breastfeeding and never had a period in between. As it had taken 2 years to get pregnant the first time, we knew that we were taking a risk by not using contraception, but as we did want another child, we kind of took advantage of the post pregnancy fertility.
Have you taken a test?

my girl is only 9 weeks so im hoping im not i had sex but he never came inside me
There is always that 'one stray one'. Better check just incase.
withdrawal method is probably as reliable as breastfeeding.

Surely a 3 test is worth getting purely for peace of mind. Take a test every week or so until you either get your period or a positive result.

I reckon the sleepless nights will be enough for your hubby to want to use a condom at least :)

might have to havent told him yet was a moment of madness thanks
he was there as well, you shared the moment so share this too. With a 9 week old you have enough on your plate without having to worry alone.

Chances are it is just taking its time to arrive but best to check eh?
any news Julie, have you taken a test?

Stress will obviously delay your period longer.
hi, i dont mean to worry you but my son was six weeks old when i fell pregnant with my second. i was told not to have sex for around 6-8 weeks after birth because i had a bad labour and section, but i didnt listen and now have 2 boys 10 and a half months apart , which i dont regret.

take a test, if you still dont see a period in a few weeks and test is negative see your gp to make sure there are no complications from the birth.

good luck
