I have tried to restore my comp on 6 different dates (bold)
dates but message says unable to any ideas please

I had this ages ago on my XP pc. In my situation it was a virus that corrupted my restore points, and I had to reinstall my whole pc.

Look up non-destructive and destructive reinstall, as this may be your only option.

How much free space have you got on your hard drive? If you don't have enough, the system restore won't work.

Just a thought - do you have administrator account on XP? If not, you can't do a system restore.
