The Builder: It's a stripped down version of a 'Sam's Club' or alternatively, a store that generally sells generic or contract brand products at a lower price than the typical high-street stores. No credit cards accepted, only bank cards, charges for bags, and several long tables of 'impulse' items. Interestingly, impulse products tend to generate the highest amount of revenue for the stores. Their products can range from odd lots of socks and mittens to computers and garden furniture. They have been the subject of some political cartoonists due to the perception that its market strength is in selling to pensioners or the poor. It's an unfair tag to wear, but sometimes the staff at the store help to promote the image.
Where on this big blue are you located please?
