if your child is ten, and has a friend thirteen is this bad.

No, that doesn't matter. I think it's good for kids to have friends of different ages so they grow up knowing how to relate to people who aren't their age.

Not at all. The more friends the better. When I went to Uni, I had friends of 30, 48 and 65! And it was great!
Not at all. You wouldn't stop your child talking to/mixing with his thirteen year old brother, would you?
it is only bad if the older child starts touching them and tells them its their little secret. this happened to me when i was a child and i have never been able to get over it.
It depends on the child, do they have a lot in common? Is there anything you are worried about?

it depends if the 13 yr old is a positive or negative influence on him.
No i don't think it's bad if the thirteen yr old is a good influence, and if it is bad, bear in mind 10 yr olds tend to idolise older friends... tread carefully
