Maybe you are unwittingly condoning his behaviour.
One of my friends blokes has adopted the 'pink jobs and blue jobs' policy. He thinks all house work are pick jobs to be done by his girlfriend and blue jobs are like mowing the lawn or washing the car.

This is all fair enough but having thought about it 'pink jobs' are essential and have to be done whereas 'blue jobs' always appear to be optional.

Odd that!!!

Thanks for you answers everyone.
Well, he's not actually a useless slob, not always anyway...
I am being a bit unfair and wanted to show him this site to ennoy him!
I think it worked, I'm in the dog's house!

As for the pink jobs and the blue jobs, I would love that idea if only we had a garden and a car. Does cleaning the ventilation system and shampooing the carpet count as a blue job? Hehe!

I don't know, are we married to the same man? I am having a crappy day and am in a bad mood now, because sometimes he is crap and rubbish.

Sometimes, he is wonderful and I love him very very much but, seriously, he is testing my patience at the moment.

Legend, I am not married to a cat or a dog, and my husband has never sh*t on the carpet, thankfully.

I am 15 weeks pregnant and hormonal, and he is not helping the situation by having to be asked to do things. I thought he might be finding it hard me like a snapping dragon so have been doing more housework to make things easier for him when he gets in from work he can then relax, but I don't see him out f the blue thinking "You know what? It would really help Nat out if I did the dishes without having to be asked, because I am sure she doesn't enjoy having to tell me to do things. It must make her feel really bad to actually have to ask me to do something all the time".

What are the chances of that happening? Zero.

Rant over.

It reminds me of that cr4ppy reality TV show I have seen a couple of years ago about a couple who had trouble establishing a good balance of powers.
The woman did absolutely nothing in the house, not even the cooking, while the guy was complaining that he was doing too much. Well, at first the woman seemed like an absolute witch of a woman, but towards the end it was clear that her husband actually made her that way, making her feel useless and bad all the time so he could be the hero.
I don't know how much of this show had actually been manipulated by the producers but it makes you think...

my husband loves calling me his nagging wife, it makes him feel better about being lazy, haha!
I don't think i could train him as i would train a dog not to sh*t on the carpet, i have too much respect for him despite everything! But I know what you mean, Legend, i sometimes wish I had more influence in this household!
