We have a Collared Dove that we rescued from the garden (Cats had it!) It seems to be ok but it cannot fly so we believe its flight feathers must be damaged? At the moment we have it in a box with some water, grain and a soft towel for warmth. Does anyone have any advice on how to care for it and how long it will be for the feathers to recover? Thanks

Providing it is not injured seriously, it should recover with your protection. A seed mixture for budgies will keep it from starving. Keep up the daily fresh water. Take it out of the box after a few days (inside ofcourse) and see if it can fly - it will be very scared. The feathers may be damaged to the extend that you have to wait until it moults new ones - July or thereabouts I'm afraid.
