does zac efron sing in hsm?

in either high school musical 1 or 2 does anyone know if zac sings any song in the films? and how do you know this?

I believe he does. He made the talk show rounds before Hairspray and HSM2 debuted and he indicated that though singing is not his main talent, he did all his own singing. He is being dubbed "John Travolta" for the new generation.

so how come he doesnt tour witht the others then? and then in interview they ask him and he says its some other guy that does his songs not him?

Drew Seeley's voice was used for the most part of the songs in High School Musical.
