Okay, I didn't know where to put this question so please advise me if you think I will get better answers elsewhere. Basically, I'm in an amateur pantomime this Christmas and for one of my scenes I need to wear a full suit of armour - the helmet must have a visor that moves up and down. Obvisouly we can't get a "real" full suit of armour so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how we could make it! I have looked around online and found a couple of fancy dress helmets and breast plates - but as for the rest we are all stuck! If anyone has any genius and creative ideas please let me know! Thanks in advance.

Try looking on sites that sell costumes for live role playing....I know this sound a bit strange but there are people who go live role playing and pretend to be certain characters, they run around fields pretending to fight etc.(bit sad really, lol),they are very serious about it and they make and sell the costumes they wear for this.
I've never seen suits of armour that you can hire. Perhaps you can - but you can certainly buy them, if you think you might find a use for it after the performance. Expensive though.
