Have just taken delivery of a rabbit hutch. It is in quite good nick, but is in need of a good clean. Any suggestions on a good, homemade cleaning solution would be gratefully received. The wood has not been treated with anything i.e. timbercare.

Thanks Guys

I wouldn't put anything on it, as quite often rabbits will gnaw the hutch to keep their teeth down. Just get a hosepipe, create the strongest jet of water you can (either with a nozzle or your thumb over the end) and blast the thing!
My sister has a rabbit and I understand they are extremely sensitve to cleaning products, whatever you do be careful what you use. A good natural cleaner is lemon juice I hear. I can,t imagine that harming a rabbit.
Can't really help with question as I have indoor rabbits and just use wipes to clean the bed. But I just wanted to say please please make sure that your rabbit has plenty of room in the hutch and let him out to exercise because ther is nothing more heartbreaking than to see a rabbitshut away in a little box.
