on the corsa the plastic bushes wear on the linkage. possibly could be the same problem.

Thanks to you guys. I gave you bum info, its a corsa 1.2...o2 registration. There is no crunching or anything, the just wont go in

gear linkage needs replaced. very comon problem, i had to replace mine. dealer part only
