not sure if this is the correct place to post but here goes....

I think i do my bit regarding recycling. i recycle cardboard, plastic and bottles and take items to a recycling centre. My local council has recently introduced a 2 weekly bin collection and despite my efforts we are filling our bin within a week and having to take bags of rubbish to our local tip. Our worst item for adding bulk to our rubbish seems to be cat litter. we have 5 cats - all house cats for reasons of illness etc and we change the litter 1/2 times a day. we therefore have a bag of litter (& contents!) every day. does anyone know if this can be recycled?? we use wood based litter and unless i find a solution I am going to be frequenting the tip every week. any ideas?

Hi Lorry.... sorry cannot help with regards to the recycling but why not post in animals and nature you might get help on that site.Good luck
Just one word......eeyuh! I would have thought that your bag of litter could be composted if it is wood based. Have you thought of contacting your recycling specialist at the local council??
