Curling Mega Straight Hair

I have poker straight hair, i mean really straight i wash it, leave it to dry naturally and its Straight!! Anyhoo, i would like to try and make it a bit curly. Those nice bouncy wavy curls.

Can anyone tell me a good way to do it, i have tried with straightners and tongs and the curls just fall out after about 10 mins.

Can anyone recommend any velco curlers or something like them? I dont like using too many heated things. i dont want to look like Annie tho, my hair is quite long goes about 2 thirds down my back if that helps

Heated rollers are always best but putting them in can be tricky. A friend of mine has dead straight long blond hair and when she uses heated rollers she always looks dead glamourous! Its not fair :-(
